Travel itinerary
We depart from Montevideo at 12:30 am. We cross the border into Argentina via Fray Bentos and continue toward Colonia Carlos Pellegrini the heart of our journey. Upon arrival we will check in at Ypa Sapukai Lodge, where we will stay during our visit. The lodge is located on the shores of Laguna Iberá, in the center of the Iberá Natural Reserve.
After a delicious lunch, we will take a guided walk through trails and palm groves, beginning two immersive days surrounded by nature and local traditions. In the evening you may visit the village for dinner or order something tasty and enjoy it at the lodge.
Today we continue exploring Argentina’s largest protected area, home to more than 60 species of mammals and over 350 species of birds. The included excursion will be a guided boat navigation across Laguna Iberá, where we will observe the surrounding biodiversity up close. Overnight stay at Ypa Sapukai.
In the evening we invite you to experience a traditional peña, where we will enjoy dinner accompanied by local music.
Another day to continue enjoying Argentina’s largest protected natural area, with its remarkable diversity of wildlife. Today’s included activity is another guided boat excursion across Laguna Iberá, allowing us to further explore and appreciate the incredible biodiversity of the region. Overnight stay at Ypa Sapukai.
After an early breakfast we begin our return journey to Montevideo, arriving in the evening.
