Travel itinerary
We depart from Tres Cruces Terminal at 04:00 am to begin our journey. We will cross the border at Yaguarón and continue towards our destination. Upon arrival in Gramado, we will check in at our hotel.
In the morning we begin with a city tour of Gramado and Canela accompanied by a local guide. These towns, located in the heart of the mountains, are known for their close connection to nature and their strong German and Italian heritage. In the afternoon we visit Parque da Ferradura, where we will access the park’s newest attraction: the Sky Glass,a glass and steel platform extending 35 meters over the valley, offering spectacular panoramic views. By mid-afternoon we will have free time in Gramado.
At 8:00 pm the Grand Christmas Parade begins, which those interested may attend. Alternatively, you may enjoy walking through the beautiful streets of the city.
Overnight stay in Gramado.
Free day to explore Gramado. You will have time to visit some of the city’s many museums, suited to all interests, as well as other famous attractions such as Lago Negro or take a walk along Rua Torta.
On this day we include an excursion that many travelers have requested: we will spend the day visiting São Francisco de Paula, including Lago São Bernardo and the 8 Cachoeiras.We will arrive in the mid-afternoon with free time to continue exploring. In the late afternoon and evening we can enjoy the light and sound show at the Cathedral of Stone (Catedral de Pedra) in Canela. Overnight stay here.
Here we will be able to enjoy several trekking options of different difficulty levels. Overnight stay in Gramado.
After breakfast we travel to Torres along the scenic Rota do Sol road, descending through Aparados da Serra Park. We will stop for lunch at the Ecoparque Itati viewpoint,where we can enjoy fun adventure activities suitable for all ages. Overnight stay in Torres.
If weather conditions allow*, at 4:30 am we will have the opportunity to take an optional hot-air balloon flight over the Praia Grande mountains, an unforgettable experience available during this trip. We then return to Torres, where you may take short walks or cool off at the beach.
In the afternoon we will explore the city further, walking along the waterfront until we reach the mouth of the Mampitubá River, which divides the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. We will also visit Parque Estadual da Guarita, part of the Canyons of the South Geopark, known for the striking contrast between its basalt towers and the ocean.
*If weather conditions are not favorable, the flight will be rescheduled for the following day.
